    Dino oils

Mobil 5000, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Castrol GTX, Havoline. They are all dino oils similarily priced. I read a lot about most of these except Mobil 5000. Does it really make a difference which one I choose?

    Should I use a mix?

I have almost 5 quarts of left over oil mixed in a container. My car takes 4.5 quarts and I always dump the other half quart into a container. Now it's almost full. It's all M1 with a mix of 5W-30 and 10W-30 and has been sitting there for a couple years now since I change every 6 months. Would...

    M1 to PP

Since I've been reading that M1 now has Group III in it I think I will switch to Pennzoil Platinum. I can get it cheaper than M1 anyway. Is it still true that PP is group IV/V?

Why is Trop Artic so cheap?

Why is Trop Artic so cheap compared to other synthetic blends?

    Which is the better?

We all know the leading synthetic oils are Mobil 1, Amsoil, Redline, and Pennzoil Platinum. Let's forget about those for now. How would you guys rank these synthetics: Valvoline Synpower Castrol Syntec Quaker State Advanced Engine Quaker State Torque Power Super Tech Synthetic Havoline Synthetic ...

    Quaker State Q Torque Power

Looks like Quaker State is trying harder to compete with M1 and PP with Q Torque Power. It's heat activated ya know. www.qpower.com

    Do I dare use synthetic?

I have a 98 Grand Cherokee 4.0L with 85,000 miles. I've been using Mobil 7500 in it, but have been thinking about switching to M1. The thing is, the rear main seal is weeping. I know that synthetic can flow by the seal better than regular oil and potentially leak. Do I dare try it, or not?

    What would you use?

Really, does it matter what vehicle and engine it's going into? I have 2 vehicles that both call for either 5W-30 or 10W-30. My question is, what are some good oils that work well in extreme winter temps?

    What would you use?

What oil would you guys use in extreme winter temps? I'm talking about -40F. It does get that cold here.

    Should I re-use my lube?

It is a 98 Grand Cherokee. The gears always turn no matter what.

    Should I re-use my lube?

A couple of weeks ago I opened up my front diff. to diagnose a problem. Problem is I need new spider gears. So I put everything back together and put new lube in it. I now have the parts and will be replacing them within the next week or so. Question is, should I reuse the lube I have in there...

    Mr. Goodwrench Oil

Just saw a coupon for an oil change at the local GM dealership. Here is a line from it: "Up to 5 qts. Mr. Goodwrench Oil". Exactly what is Mr. Goodwrench oil?

    MMO & Wal-Mart

How odd. About a week or two ago I was in WM looking around and saw MMO on the shelves and thinking about buying some, but I didn't. Later that week I went back to buy some, but they had none. I stood there for awhile scratching my head trying to figure out what was going on.

    Advance Auto oil

Just went into Advance auto for the 3rd time ever and noticed they have their own brand of oil. Does anybody buy this stuff?
