I just bought this tail trunk from Sears for $42 for my Kawasaki Concours 14. It even came with a steel mounting plate that is an exact copy of GIVIs plates, so you could use a GIVI box or this trunk with a GIVI plate.

What do you guys think? Was this a great deal or not?

$42 ???

No way

Sears? I didn't know they even sold stuff like that.

Find me one a little bigger & I'll make a little trailer for it !

Looks like you got a great deal. I had the genuine Givi version of that on my last bike and I don't see much difference. The Givi mounting plate looks a bit nicer on the bike, but I think it's great that you avoided the 500% mark-up that products get when they are marketed for motorcycles.

Thanks for posting this!

Well yeah, you have to have something to mount it on. For $42 and it includes a nice metal quick-mount plate is crazy. Most sport/adventure-touring bikes have a luggage rack and that is the bikes this is marketed to.

The equivalent GIVI luggage would run at least $250 and doesn't include the mounting plate.
