2001 ZRX1200, 4 cylinder, liquid cooled, engine mods include JE 12.5:1 high comp pistons, ZZR1200 cams and ZX11/ZZR1200 40mm carbs. Over 87,000 miles on the bike total, 30,000+ miles with the listed pistons and cams. Bottom end, tranny and clutch are original.

Report looks pretty good with respect to consistent stable trends with the bike overall. Aluminum has been suggested on this forum as being from the clutch, don't see any reason to believe it's coming from anywhere else at this point after this many 5,000 mile oil changes.

Oil change was right after a 260 mile ride on a hot day, that helps out with a flashpoint of 455°. However, Amsoil lists 442° as flashpoint... Another Blackstone anomaly. Comparatively, the others are lower on flashpoint, which would indicate the various oils could have retained viscosity a bit better all else equal on the previous oil changes.

Pleased with how the Amsoil 20w50 V-Twin performed given it started at a cSt of 18.5 and ended at 17.02.with wear numbers better than established norms for this engine over the past 30,000+ miles for everything other than Al, however it is the best Al number in the past 21,000+ miles. Al made its first jump in 2018 at 60,872 miles.

Looks fine. btw it's a 4 cylinder, isn't it?

Clutch is fine, and it's been going down the road for now over 87,000+ miles. Bike has JE 12.5:1 high compression pistons installed a little over 30,000 miles ago so there's nothing on my radar with respect to that.

I'll edit/add to the original post so there is no confusion (almost 25 year old bike, some folks may not know that it is a 4 cyl.) besides the oil being 20w50 and labeled with "V-Twin" nomenclature. Btw, three of the six OCI's shown are M1 10w40 4T "Racing". 20w50 is a good choice for the ZRX with respect to the known low hot oil pressure and top end oiling at idle in this lineage of engines with 10w40.

Got it. My bike shifts smoother with the 20-50 Amsoil vs. the Mobil 1 racing oil. Just my experience.

Haven't noticed a difference in shifting going from M1 10w40 4T to M1 20w50 V-Twin, back to 10w40 4T for 2 OCI's, then RL 20w50 and Amsoil 20w50 for the two most recent ~5,000 mile OCI's. I can say the Amsoil was as good as any of them, and would absolutely recommend it as much as I'd recommend the M1 20w50 V-Twin or M1 10w40 4T. Heck, I'll give an edge to the Amsoil for the fact it shot down my preconceived notions/information bias that it wouldn't do what it did.
