ZF Lifeguard 5

Trans Pan Gasket Replacement.
Fluid is fairly new - Fresh Lifeguard 5 about 30 months ago.
Dropping the Pan is about 1/2 the fluid - 4-5L.

Anyone using Pentosin ATF 1 or just stick with the ZF FLuid

i’ve used maxlife transmax and even generic dexmerc with no issues. the 19 and 24 don’t last past 150k anyway

Maxlife is good stuff and will work in your ZF with no problem. Castrol Full Synthetic is also good stuff

The ZF Fluid is probably made by Pentosin anyway

Yes.....throw maxlife in there.
No worries.
Used it in an 09 audi 6 speed with zero issues

I used Maxlife and serviced my ZF 5HP24 every 50-60k miles. It was running strong at 215k miles and that was with Dinan engine & transmission software. This transmission was very particular about exact and proper fluid level.
