can't find any locally.

it's called for in my '96 bronco.

calls to auto supply stores result in house brand "green" antifreeze.

am I o.k. to mix with my remaining zerex (1 gal.)?

thanks.

yes, there is a napa close by.

they are the first ones I called and where I bought the first jugs of the zerex.

maybe I was talking to a new counter guy.

headed there now to see if they can still order it.

Will Peak green work? Advance auto has it or had it very recently.

IIRC they love phosphates.

Most "house brand" conventional antifreezes are made by the manufacturer of Peak, and are reputable products that can be mixed with Zerex IAT coolant just fine. Look for "manufactured by Old World Industries" on the back label.

napa had one gallon of the zerex in stock, so I'm good to go.

thanks for all the replies.

i'll look into the GO5 and motorcraft gold for next time.

I purchased it off Amazon only a month ago... 6 gallons for $60.

I just picked up a gallon of the green stuff at the local NAPA (Autozone didn't have any in stock but usually carries it). I keep it around for occasional top-offs in the 'ol minivan (reservoir needs a top-off every year or so). It'll be due for a full flush again next year (for some reason, Ford was adamant about using ONLY green in these Nissan joint venture vans even though they spec'd different fluids for their own vehicles at the time).
