Youtube has turned into a massive AI "garbage" distribution point. Man, did that happened quick. Tons and tons of information channels less then 2 to 6 months old, and spewing "garbage". You can't even surf it much, seems you can only rely on my old main channels. They even have the balls to use AI famous/semi famous people. I know AI Elon was advertising scam junky wall heaters will dubious claims. You would think he would have "a guy" looking for that daily and do a cease and desist order to Youtube as soon as it posted. There is not much you can do about it other then stay on your set channels.
I don't see much AI at all on any platform. When I do see it, I mark it as "not interested" and block it

YouTube, Facebook etc. algorithms are pretty basic and stupid. They notice you click on something, it will feed you more of that thing, it’s that simple.

Stop clicking on clickbait thumbnails, titles and stuff you already found to be AI. Doesn’t matter if you watched a few seconds of it, half or the entire thing, the algorithm will keep feeding you that same garbage.
So either clear your browsing history and start from scratch or if you’re signed in, start watching stuff you searched for, instead of what shows up in the feed.

Ai content is already banned here, but AI videos are still allowed for the most part unless they are completely full of bad information
That's dumb.... AI is AI and shouldn't matter what format it's in.

The worst is the cat driving the husky around in the car. Who wants that garbage?
The worst word for me is the new fake animal greeting videos for service men and women who are at the airport, or coming into the house, etc. and their dogs greet them.... And defy laws of physics while they're at it. It's bad.

One of my acquaintances who I consider to be an expert on things of this nature said a few years ago that it was projected that by the end of calendar year 2025 the overwhelming supermajority of accounts and content on the internet would be the of AI origin, like at least 95%.

YouTube has gotten so bad, I can't even go into a comment section anymore because it is just full of engagement bait which is likely AI generated. I just stick to a few content creators who I know are real people because I talk to them in person and some of them have the comments shut off because of the abject futility of engaging with comment sections.

Well, I suppose the good news is, we will eventually spend less time on social media and more time with folks IRL. Excepting those poor, socially awkward folks who will end up “befriending” and interacting with AI because it won’t insult them for their awkwardness.

This is the scary thing, some people would rather engage with AI. Is anyone familiar with the concept referred to as "heaven banning?" Despite the name it is what I consider to be a hellish existence of one's own creation that starts with this affinity for AI over interaction real people.

I haven’t heard of it, but can completely believe it is a thing. People in general have gotten awkward in person since the lockdown. Sure, you meet some that are unaffected, but some can’t even look you in the eye or speak to you if you try to say hello or a friendly gesture.

I still see goobers driving around in their cars alone wearing masks…so there has been a long term psyche shift in a decent percentage of people.

It's real and it's an amazingly LARGE % of the population. I was shocked.

Stick with your subscribed channels and get off the algorithm. Start curating your own feed.
That's neither practical nor possible. A) The "algorithm" will continue to show you related or similar content to your subscribed channels and B) what happens when you search for something new that you're looking for help with ? Content related to that will creep in too now.
