Youtube has turned into a massive AI "garbage" distribution point.

We would be far better off not to post Youtube videos on this forum to try to prove a point or a theory-they are always so flawed-in some aspect(s).
Took a while to chase those videos away from the mechanic guy who yelled alot. I think his name started with an S..........

To whom?

Dennis Collins, Hagerty, Blancolirio, Cleetus McFarland, Fab Rats, Steve Morris, Johnny Hopper, Foose Design....so far no AI noted in any of these channels... got lots more bookmarked.

Mozilla has a YouTube AI blocker for Firefox. When I use Google to search the AI responses are first. Is there a way to block them?
I use the Startpage search engine. Works like the pre-ai google search engine

It's happening on Facebook also. Half the stuff you see on there is fake AI.
Yes. I am trying to figure the point of posting an A.I. video of a dog on an airplane. The only thing I can come up with is to try to scam those who like/comment the pic/video at a later date.

The worst is the cat driving the husky around in the car. Who wants that garbage?

I like to listen to music on YT, and some of the AI songs they have on there, are better than the originals in my opinion. I'd rather listen to them, than people doing bad covers. But AI is getting out of hand and very easy to spot .,,

It's not just YouTube and AI. It's all of it. My phone is almost not usable anymore. 95% of incoming texts and calls are scammers.

I like to listen to synthwave, which is a digital music to start with. I'm not sure how much of it might be from AI versus coming out of a bit of code. But sometimes I'll flip through youtube shorts and I'm a bit clueless as to some of the clips, as in, why? They take someone else's clip, mirror it, or alternate between mirror and non-mirror, soften features by whatever garbage that AI does. I try to flip through it, but I'm starting to think it's best to avoid. Which is a shame, this could be a good place for content creator "commercials" advertising their wares.

I haven't been on LinkedIn for a few months but I think a good portion of posts were becoming something ran through AI so as to give it more punch. I've tuned out in response.

Man I can’t stand that guy. One video of him sitting on the ground spread legged with a loaded strut cartridge between them with the bottom end pointed at his nether regions and he’s hammering away at the strut compressors with an impact gun… just shocked me. Worst part was people were singing his praises in the comments. 🤦🏻‍♂️

LinkedIn is suffering the same fate.

Jalopnik picked up some AI writers, or some college kids whose writing is so banal it's like reading nothing at all.

They have fluff pieces about snow tires or whatever with all the structure of a bale of cotton candy.

It's something I read at work, because it's safe for work. Guess stupidity is safe. 🫣

BITOG's "joined date" feature helps verify people existed before the robot invasions.

You use to be able to spot their eyes, mouth, head, and arm movement glitches. But that is not happening as much, as it is advancing to semi perfection very very fast.
Kind of like the Terminator cyborg that got upgraded.

@Leo99 you might have a point. A lot of alternative voices are now being faked by AI (like Varoufakis, et. al) so when it's really Varoufakis, you are not sure if it's indeed him. As the old wisdom goes, they are not lying to us so that believe their lies (some of course do), but to make sure we are skeptical of the truth.
It's all just part of the matrix, the simulation that we are actually living in but refuse to acknowledge.
