2006 Mazda 6 2.3L 5-speed stick shift, the base model with only A/C, power windows, and alarm/central lock (or whatever it was called back in the day). The engine ran beautifully on Castrol GTX 5w30. In beautiful silver-metallic paint, I got it brand new that year for $14,900 out the door. I will forever regret selling that car.

1992 Mercedes 300D 2.5 Turbo. 348k miles and 21 years later, it still ran great. Too many little plastic pieces were impossible to replace so she retired to a new home.

I bought this portable tire inflator in 2018 and it's been outstanding. Best $32 I've spent on a car purchase in a long time. It's small but inflates pretty quick, it's got a nice little lit screen, and it's been dead reliable no matter the weather (I never take it out of the car so it lives in very cold and very hot weather).
My 1998 John Deere LX188 riding mower. 17 hp liquid cooled Kawasaki 501v, Tuff Torq K61 hydrostatic trans, 48” deck. In 23 years and near 2,000 hours I’ve spent $100 on a new hydro fan and that’s all as far as repairs go. It still has the original belts and deck bearings. At $5,000 in 1998 it was a lot of money for a riding mower but it still runs like new and has out lasted my neighbors 3 MTD mowers. Honorable mention goes to my 1995 Nissan D20 4x4 king cab truck. 2.4 L with a five speed transmission that was $19,000 OTD and I owned it for 19 years and it was the best most trouble free vehicle I’ve ever owned.
Overpriced $100 Scott ski poles on mountain in 1994 as other snapped, I still use them to this day and indestructible.

93 Mustang GT 20+ yrs ago. Ended up putting over 400k mi on it (not orig motor sadly). Stroker (that saw nearly 200k mi of abuse), aluminum heads, custom cam, T56, Maximum Motorsports suspension, bunch of other stuff including AC still on it. I daily drove & beat the snot out of it drag racing, auto-X, & HPDE weekends with friends. Took it from San Diego to Seattle & then Vancouver, B.C and back. Also to Omaha, NE and back, couple Vegas trips, snow boarding trips to Big Bear Lake (the torque arm is fabulous in the snow). Sat in nasty traffic because it's rush hour or an unfortunate bad accident...it just idled away without a hiccup. So much fun from such a simple & archaic machine.

Weber Genesis. 10 years old, lives outside 100% of the time, and still looks and cooks as well as the day I assembled it. Clean it once a year and fill the tank when it's empty. I did have to replace the cover once.
My first and only motorcycle, an 82 Yamaha Virago XV750. Biking looked fun but it's more fun than it looks... and I'm usually a pretty good judge of that.

Dopey short-handle 72-tooth ratchet from VIP Discount auto. Probably 15 years old now. Great for spark plugs and stuff that doesn't need much torque. Generic, but great action.

Definitely my 1989 Mazda B2200. I thought when I bought it oh it will last till I can get something better well it’s lasted to this day and I’m not replacing it or taking it out of service anytime soon it’s amazing truck. Definitely earned it’s $1050 I paid for it. Only 108,000 original miles too and I believe it has thousands left. Also my 2008 Ford Escape that I bought from my aunt for $800 because she was tired of it. It’s definitely given me $800 worth of service it had 165,000 when I bought it in September of 2020 and now has 187,000 as I drive it 60 miles a day 5 days a week. It doesn’t owe me anything. I’m keeping it till it falls apart I love it. It also does amazing in the snow and it’s our only snow ride since the Jeep is still sitting. My dad keeps saying to get rid of it before it blows up due to it having an internal water pump and a big oil leak from the timing cover I’m like I’m not getting rid of it for any reason. I am going to fix the oil leak when it gets warmer because it’s too cold right now to do it lol. My truck has an internal water pump too but he isn’t saying get rid of it and it’s original lol. The only thing on the Escape I would change is the interior color because mechanic hands and arms and clothes don’t match tan seats and interior but I’m good at cleaning it.
