A 1911, which comes with a grip safety and a standard safety, with an empty chamber requiring the slide to be operated to chamber a round is a bit of a puzzle for a three year old.

An unloaded revolver would be an equal puzzle. What about a 1911 with a loaded chamber, a cocked hammer, and the safety off?
 
Don't even know why you guys are coming up with all these gun scenarios. Bottom line is you don't leave loaded guns around where people (especially kids) can get their hands on them.

An irresponsible gun owner. I'm not the one making claims that one gun is less dangerous to leave around the house. They all get treated with the equal respect a firearm deserves.
