It makes me feel as if there were a time when people could simply go and see a concert, that is to get tix and afford to, even as a kid. I think I’m old enough to have witnessed the “sold out” effect where even mail order and camping out = empty handed.

2022 someone asked me what’s the cheapest you can remember for as far as what you paid to park at a show? I said I think $10. Imho $40-$50 is made up by promoters. As are the $300-$1000 tickets.

Wife and I were talking about concert tickets we bought to see Alvin Lee around 1977 were $5.00. Many we went to were in the $3.00 to $5.00 range in late 70s.
