would you run this RP/Champ filter or pass?

decided to give the champ filters a try for my next oil change but upon arriving i noticed excess glue. is this something that i should worry about? should i use this filter in next upcoming oci?

*purchased through Summit website. thanks in advanced

That excess glue is on the inside, and over louvers that want to flow oil and put pressure on the glue. I would not use those filters because of the chance that the oil dP could break some glue off the louvers it's covering up. I'd send photos to Summit and Royal Purple and ask for replacements on their dime. Those are bad manufacturing QA IMO.

i'm impressed at how fast Royal Purple customer service has contacted me. they asked for pictures and order number from Summit. will keep everyone updated.

I've not been able to find any quoted performance and life specs from seller's websites so for me I won't consider the RP filters. If someone has located specs, please share. Thank you!
