would 5w50 be too much

I tried 5w-50 in a vehicle of mine that I ran 5w-40 in before. It was awful. The car was sluggish and lost about 1.5 mpg in fuel economy (significant cuz it averaged 17mpg). Oh, it also sounded like a singer sewing machine when it was cold

I replaced the intake minifold gaskets. I used felpros perma-dry gaskets
