Worst drivers in America. We got 2nd place!

Here in Pennsylvania, we're surrounded by states that have legalized recreational grass, now all the drunk drivers (sorry, "impaired ") are now both drunk and stoned. My favorite here in Central Pennsylvania is on I83, 65mph, Toyota Prius doing 53 mph in the left lane, hypermileing, on a cellphone stuck to his left ear completely obvious to the chaos around him/her usually with Maryland plates. Apparently, very few people know how to pair their phones to the car for hands-free. I'm also amazed at how many people I see driving alone in a vehicle wearing a covid mask. I wondered a bit why my 23 Honda has automatic headlights, then started counting the number of vehicles driving after dark without lights, last Friday night on my 14 mile trip home from work I counted 6, now I know. Between impaired, careless, poor skills and just don't care, it's getting scary on the roads, doesn't seem to be much speed enforcement either.

They are pulling on the bong as hard as possible!

One of my trips to China, dude fell off his scooter, bus ran his head over. Girl in work van sitting next to me asked me if there was "much watermelon juice?"

Another time saw a guy with his legs absolutely mashed in a tiny "truck" (UTV size). He was screaming in agony. Not good.

It was bad there 2000-2005
Holy sheep dip! China has to be the worst. Russia can make bad driving comical from what I seen on TV.

Round-Abouts in Charlotte, NC. NOBODY here knows how to use them. People stopping while IN the circle. Face Palm.........

Also, I think Charlotte has the largest contingent of people that like to drive a few miles per hour UNDER the speed limit. It's maddening....
Round abouts are quite complicated, don't ya know.

First off... :ROFLMAO:

Second I work in Maryland which recently went legal for recreational. Occasionally I'll get behind this Nissan SUV right out of work that is like all over the road. Had my window rolled down the second time around and could smell it, and I finally put two and two together. Been a big problem around here. All the time I'll be behind someone and smell it.
I can smell it on customers 30 minutes after they left. I have refused to drive some cars for fear of being pulled over and accused of dui.

Smart. A month or two ago I stopped a light next to a couple of guys at who were reenacting a Cheech and Chong scene. The passenger rolled down the window and about stunk me off the road.

That rating is fixed! Boston traffic is so bad there are no fatalities - no one going over 20mph! MSP would much rather bust people for 80 in a 65 in broad daylight on a highway than bust drunks while it is dark and scary.

Massachusetts used to have the least-skilled, least-courteous and most-impatient drivers anywhere. Now the rest of the country had caught up. Driving craftsmanship is dead.

I think there are bad drivers everywhere (plenty of people in LA going way too fast, for instance), but there are two areas of the country that stand out to me:

Miami and the high desert northeast of LA (Victorville, Hesperia, Palmdale, etc).

I can cycle through my memory of insane stuff I have experienced in both those areas numerous times.

That's #2! Where I live
It is nuts; I have seen horrendous crashes on the 14 and 15. Just going south on the 15 (coming back from Mammoth/Bishop for instance), and I get pretty tense around the Cajon Pass as people do wild stuff on what is already a somewhat dangerous winding decline with lots of semi trucks and cars in general.

I live in Northern Virginia and I swear North Carolina drivers are the worst for camping out in the left lane, often doing under the speed limit. There are message boards everywhere saying “ left lane is for passing, not cruising “….. they don’t seem to mind.

Its funny because they always have this terrified or blank stare on their face and 100% of the time have a death grip on the steering wheel at 10 and 2.

I notice the vast majority of the cities are southern, non-snowy areas.
I'm guessing those of up in northern climes learn how to handle our cars better because of the inclement weather we drive in

I lived in Charlotte for 63 of my 66 years and I would agreed with you until we moved to Raleigh NC. It’s worse here if you can believe it. Shankwikwa turning right from the inside lane or left from the outside lane, going straight using a turn lane, running stop signs-red lights, and sitting through green lights while texting.
A good one today was in the Chick-fil-A drive through….. Rejonquala and her 5 chilrens having a picnic in the car after they received their order. Held up the line and didn’t care. Wouldn’t move. The food runner went and tapped on the window and motioned for them to move……
Yes, Raleigh NC drivers are the worst.

How about top 10 worst traffic laws? Astonished Virginia isn’t on the list.
