Worst drivers in America. We got 2nd place!

How San Antonio missed this list is beyond me...if you've ever visited this roadway hellhole, you'd remember every other highway billboard is for an ambulance chasers law firm.

I go there often and it starts well before you get there. If I’m not in a hurry - I take the backroads instead of I-10 Raceway …

Seems like it is more about drunk drivers killing people than bad drivers.

Interesting data where the population who partakes in this is concentrated.

I see my city missed the list, but always amazed at the sheer number of collisions in a 9.5 sq. mile area. Most days we averaged 5 collisions that were "workable", meaning we did collision reports/issued citations etc. However there were just as many that owners decided against reporting and handled on their own. So about 10 total on average per day. Insane. I chalk it up to numerous factors but it all boils down to one. No one is paying attention to driving anymore. Cell phone use is number one culprit, in spite of serious penalties for use (mainly texting) while driving. A close second is traffic volume that far outpaces infrastructure to handle it. SC enacted a slower traffic move right law a couple years ago. My favorite enforcement tactic if I happened upon a left lane squatter, was to light them up. Once they moved to the far right, I would turn off my lights and move around them. The expressions on their faces was priceless.

Round-Abouts in Charlotte, NC. NOBODY here knows how to use them. People stopping while IN the circle. Face Palm.........

Also, I think Charlotte has the largest contingent of people that like to drive a few miles per hour UNDER the speed limit. It's maddening....
I don't venture down to Charlotte often, but do live in NC. Just yesterday I was stuck behind 2 different vehicles that would average 2-10 mph under the posted speed limit and did so for MILES. In those 2 areas there's pretty much no safe room to pass due to obstructed view as in lots of hills/curves and just had to tolerate until I could pass and flip them off going by.

Just take a drive up to Austin if you want to see/experience the worst traffic and drivers in the nation. Driving around San Antonio is a cakewalk by comparison. Austin only missed getting on the list because the number of traffic fatalities is relatively low for such a large city. The reason that fatalities are so low is because is is hard to get killed in modern cars when the average speed you are going is only 10 mph. We purposely purchased a house only 3.5 miles from where my wife worked because we saw Austin's traffic beginning to get bad years ago, when she retired last year it would take her 45 minutes to get home at 5pm! When I sold my business several years ago my commute had become 1 to 1.5 hours to go 10 miles in non rush hour traffic on a GOOD day. Furthermore, since the traffic, road, and traffic signal system is so bad, drivers do some really crazy things and take major risks to try and reduce their commute time, and they get away with it because there is literally NO traffic law enforcement (the LEOs have completely given-up trying to enforce traffic laws around here).
Now, TXDOT is planning to completely demolish and rebuild I-35 right through the heart of Austin (through the downtown area). Traffic is going to get backed-up for at least 50 miles in both directions daily for many years to come. I don't trust TXDOT, they have to be the most dysfunctional state agency in the country. Look at how long they have been screwing around with I-35 through Ft. Worth. I will be dead and buried LONG before they complete this project.

The whole state of Washington. For some ungodly reason, Washington drivers love to hang out in the left lane doing 65 mph. Move over dammit! (Please)
They are pulling on the bong as hard as possible!

You guys are funny ,China is the worst state ,they have traffic jams that last for days.🙀
One of my trips to China, dude fell off his scooter, bus ran his head over. Girl in work van sitting next to me asked me if there was "much watermelon juice?"

Another time saw a guy with his legs absolutely mashed in a tiny "truck" (UTV size). He was screaming in agony. Not good.

It was bad there 2000-2005

First off... :ROFLMAO:

Second I work in Maryland which recently went legal for recreational. Occasionally I'll get behind this Nissan SUV right out of work that is like all over the road. Had my window rolled down the second time around and could smell it, and I finally put two and two together. Been a big problem around here. All the time I'll be behind someone and smell it.

Remember "Limit" means maximum not minimum. Just Sayin
tired of the entitled who think that any speed is fair game with no consequences' . Not with our current driver's education system.
