Worst Cheap Beer in America

PBR? There's FAR WORSE than PBR! Schaefer's, Mickey's (in the big mouth bottle), Burger & Top Hat (from right here in the 'Nati), but the all time worst I ever had was Old Dutch (used to call it Old Crotch)-pee would probably taste better!!

On a sweltering hot day, especially after a hard day of manual work, a frosted glass of ice cold Coors or Bud is actually refreshing.
But yeah, in general, the list of American beers and light beers in this thread is spot on.
Bud, Coors, Miller, PBR, MilBest, NatLite, Strohs, any Ice or lite beers, etc. all taste not so good really. They are just simply not very good tasting, nor good at getting you drunk. They're just good at filling your gut with beer for repeated trips to splash your boots. I know guys that would drink 10 in a sitting and be barely drunk, but out 50 bucks.
For a good tasting beer, IMO a domestic micro-brew IPA or Amber has a really great taste. One or two on a hot summer night is an excellent way to unwind.
But I've mostly given up drinking. Those days are hopefully in my rearview mirror for the most part.

The only beer I actually don't like is Wildcat. I don't like the taste.
Lone Star. Milwakee Best. Funny thing about the Beast when I was living in Mex City it was sold as a SuperPremium. Bud Light is junk and made in Mexico after Constellation brands and A-B got together same for Heineken, Modelo and Corona. We used to drive past the Plant on the way to DFW and its massive.

I haven't drank any beer for a few years but drank enough to float a ship in my younger days. I don't know whether it's still around or not but on a trip back around 1979 or 80 I stopped at a store in TX for beer and they had a brand I'd never seen or heard of, Buckhorn and the price was right at $1.25/6 pack so, I bought a couple cases. I soon found out the price reflected the quality. Of that $1.25 probably about 50% that was the cost of packaging, 25% making the beer and 25% profit. The first few were a little rough to get down but after about a 6 pack they went right on down. Personally, I liked Budweiser and Coors. Some of the last beer I drank before I quit drinking was Coors and was purchased pretty often. For a long time in my younger years until I started drinking it all the time Budweiser would give me a headache whether I drank 1 or a case so I usually drank Miller. Along in the early '80's I was running with a few guys I worked with and they all drank Budweiser so I started drinking it 95% of the time and after a while it stopped giving me a headache. Later we found a store in the town we worked in that sold draft beer for $3/gallon and started buying lots of our beer there since we could get 4 gallons for less than the price of a case.
Living in a dry county during the '70-'80's most of the bootleggers sold the cheapest thing available at premium prices, so, I used to drink lots of Stroh's, PBR and rot gut whiskey. Along in the '80's some of the bootleggers started selling Budweiser and Miller at a higher price. I used to frequent one bootlegger that was inside the city limits of the small town I lived in. He had a truck trailer and sold out of a drive though window for several years until someone pulled up one night and shot the guy that was running it at the time. After that incident he moved out of town out into the county. I suspect that was a law enforcement decision. There's no way he could have been doing this without law enforcement knowing it in a town where the city limits was approximately 1 mile in each direction from the center of town. I don't know how true it is but was told all those years ago that he was paying off the police at the rate of $1200. a month. Sure there were occasional raids on the bootleggers to make law enforcement and politicians look good but I was also told that the merchandise was always returned to them after the court date.

PBR is my go to. If it's Coors it's yours!
Started drinking PBR when I was 12 because my brother just got married and had no money. I was somewhat industrious and had some weekly income. I would buy if he would fly so to speak. I would give him money and he would bring it home. So for 56 years this has been my go to with minor deviations. Modello light and dark are great and I buy them on occasion. IPA tastes like shampoo to me and I can't stand them.
In the 2000's PBR had a heavier hops content and I think it tastes even better now.
