now, you can see why your company is in financial trouble...
yeah - everybody is stuck in the 70's 80's and 90's beating the same old dead horse.
Making bad cars for 30 years is the problem. The current cars have no real history to show that they really are better. It takes decades to prove the reliability and just a few bad years to destroy your reputation. I generally buy used cars that have a proven reliability so I know what I'm getting. No one want's to pay thousands and be a beta tester.
Hold on a second here:
Your post in the Subaru thread:

Any leaks usually give lots of warning if you check your levels so it's fairly rare to ruin the engine. I really miss the old EJ22 though, that engine was totally bullet proof. I still have an old 92 Legacy with that motor, our 99 Forester has a SOHC 2.5 that is just starting to leak. I guess a gasket change in the spring will fix that and it should be good for another 100,000 or so.
So, a Subaru with a head-gasket problem is an awesome car, but a GM with an intake gasket problem is junk?
Hmmmmm............
because everything else about the Subaru is fantastic.. And the rest of it won't fall apart in 100K miles..
I've seen a LOT of 100+K GM's. I would never own a GM (I have in the past) but to condemn them based on one flaw, then praise another manufacturer that has an equal flaw because they are a fan of the brand is sort of silly.
