Guys,
I was organizing my oil filters and noticed that I have a Wix that fits my 2002 Toyota Tacoma that got pushed to the back. I looked at the date code and it is from 2012. It has been kept in a closet in my house (climate controlled, obviously) the entire time. I looked down the center tube with a flashlight and everything looks perfect. No rust or anything. My question is: do I use it at my next oil change? Or do I just toss it? Does the paper element degrade significantly over time if stored properly? This is a regular Wix (not an XP).
Thanks in advance for any opinions or comments.
