Wix 51394/xp

My 22’ Rav4 takes the 51394/xp, rock-auto has the filter in stock but doesn’t recommend it as fitment. Any suggestions why?

They don’t stock the xp but do have the 51394

Fitment on the various websites is a mixed bag. A lot of the time, I look on RA for a part I need, then search that part on AMAZON. If it's the same price/cheaper on AMAZON I usually buy it there as I have PRIME shipping.

7/10 times, Amazon says the part does not fit my vehicle where RA says it does. I trust RA on that more than Amazon though.

There should be no difference in fitment between a Regular Wix and a Wix Xp with the same number only the media should be different, the overall dimensions and gasket should be the same.

I would trust the WIX site for a WIX filter.

Use the longer 57145XP

The regular wix is has a better efficiency rating than the XP line up line up.

I never went with oversized filters. I haven’t been under the car yet depending on the orientation of the filter and if there is an access panel fitment can be an issue with an oversized filter. I don’t know what kind of clearances I am working with.

I normally don't go oversize either, but the 51394 is very tiny (as is the 51358), so going up to the 57145 is no problem at all
