I need a new go to oil filter for my 2021 Mazda 6. With the absence of the XG6607, where do I turn to now?

I use Penzoil Platinum Ultra oil. I like Wix, but they do not have the XP filter for my car.

carquest red is made in china or vietnam. no us filter manufacturers build a quality filter in these sizes.
That's the Carquest blue filter that's made in China or Vietnam. As far as the Carquest red, country or origin depends on the specific filter and some are (or were?) made in USA. That's why I want to look at it first. I'm specifically referring to the PH3614. I already tried one Advance Auto and it had no Carquest reds on the shelf.

more than likely carryover from M+H production. they are premium guard now from top to bottom other than “heavy duty” filters are baldwin.

The full synthetic is what Brendan mentioned.. the Carquest Extended Performance 85356 which is expensive but it drops down to around $8 if you get the bundle with oil........ and then they have the syn blend Premium 84356 and the equivalent same source filters are Autozone STP Extended 7317 and Oreilly Microgard Select MSL 57356.

This is Valvoline Restore and Protect and the Synthetic Carquest Extended Performance 84356 ... They will DELIVER this to your house free.

I have used the MicroGard Select (one of the popular premium guard filters) from O'Reilly's. I've been buying genuine Mazda filters on line in bulk at pretty good prices as well. There's been some very good offerings of the Mazda PE01-14-302 A&B filters from Mazda dealers available on amazon and ebay. These are the Tokyo Roki Japanese made filters which the Mazda 1wpe-14-302 (Thailand made) filter is the replacement in the U.S. Lots of aftermarket counterfeits carrying OEM part numbers online so heads up. Buy from a online Mazda dealer to be on the safe side.

I used to use Fram Orange, and plan on switching to CarQuest Red, if I can verify that it's made in USA first.
Look advance auto parts. I have 2 USA made carquests. My local advance auto Stamford CT East main st, dies indeed have the USA made reds in stock.quite a few.
Keeps em Inback I believe. Their really great filters! Theirs a letter I think with oil filter number at end ...don't quite me on that. Like 4080..R4080. May have letter end of it if it does,it's USA made.
