OK, which end of the filter do you consider the end ? The NAPA Platinum I got ready to put on has a dome end bypass. The NAPA Gold and the regular WIX have an inlet end bypass.

I like to use the terms "base end" and "dome end" to describe where the bypass valve is located.

"tearolator" scare a few years ago? There is one frenzy tearolator scare currently going on now with Purolator Classics. Elsewhere in these forums.
