I have even a better part to this story. Long story short, truck was Mom’s — bought in 2016 with 170k. Original 5.3 wasn’t maintained by the previous owners that great and ate a couple of lifters around 230k. I had a low mile, 40k LR4 4.8 out of a van. Threw that in, in Jan 2018. So that is what had been in it until Feb/Mar 2023. Talk about gutless. With 3.42 rear and gear, it never got out of its own way.

But it ran good.

4.8s do much better with boost, LS9 superchargers work really good on them.

I bet. LSA is square port right? You use the cathedral port to square adapters or a square port headed 4.8? Or head swap?
