First thing i would do is ask your friend. It will not harm the engine in anyway, but the first thing i would do is ask your friend if it was ok. if he/she says its ok to use those oils up, then use them. people top off with different brands of oils and grades all the time.
API oils are formulated to mix well with other API oils, so there is no issue.
I however like lots of half empty quarts laying around on my shelf, it gives me lots of options when topping off!
