I mix everything in our '08 5.4 3V and have been since chain rattle in 2020. A little 15W40 HDEO, some 10W40, 10W30 and a dash of 20W50? Sounds good to me.

That said, if you're concerned about oxidation from a leak, I dunno.....maybe?

Take a long, thin chisel or screwdriver and pierce the filter until it come out the other side. Righty tighty, lefty loosey

NEVER do this as the can just rips.
