Wiper blades

The wipers in this town get beat up more from the sun than from use. I have been using the silicon Triple edges and they last a couple of years at least. The rubber ones only last about 6 months.

I have been happy with the newer Anco flexible wipers. I guess they are considered frameless. Hold the windshield very well with no chattering. Like them in the winter because there is no frame to plug with ice. When they freeze up, just pull over, jump out, curve them backwards, and all the ice just breaks off. Expensive little suckers though . . .

My basic plan is one Anco Winter blade for the driver's side and rotate the driver's old one to the pasenger side.
The winters seem to be lifting on my car at speed, so I just slap on the cheap ones now. They are kinda flimsy, but work fine. I'd rather toss cheap ones more often than invest $15 in a fancy one. I even had blades stolen once....right as a hurricane was approaching! As for being cheap and buying only one single good blade or whatever, if I bought two nice ones for me, MiL and wife and Mom, that's well over $100. Not gonna happen (anymore).
