i throw a small propane torch and some lock de-icer in the trunk just in case. the torch helps warm the hands if you need to change a tire in the freezing weather, or if you need to start a fire for some rare reason.

Wouldn't a MAPP gas torch heat up your hands faster?
I have 2 pairs of gloves in the trunk, extra pants just in case, and usually an extra sweater and blanket in back seat. You never know... Used to have pair of winter boots in the trunk for one season(just lazy to take it home). You don't want to be wet if you stuck and try to push your car. Also about a gallon of oil, MMO obd2 scanner
ice scraper, deicer, jump cables(used to have jump starter), not sure if i have it in this car but will check first aid kit in glove box.
So, I would add to everything said before: first aid kit, extra warm cloth and shoes, jump cables/jump starter,Swiss Army knife(or analog),hand warmers.

My suggestion is always to keep the lock deicer on your person, like in your coat. It won't do a lot of good if it's locked in a frozen trunk or in the frozen interior. I speak from experience.
Yea 4 days ago it was 80 degrees today 42 figured I netters get prepared I need some de icer. I always carry a pocket knife and have a leatherman in the glove box. I got a load of tools and a jack to. I have tire patches and I probably should throw a blanket in there I have blankets for my son in there always but none big enough to cover me . Does anyone know how good Saturn waterpumps are ? Not sure how old it is and I know waterpumps fail more in the cold.

The real question is where is the pump and what drives it and does it have a weep hole. On my GM 5.7L engine the pump is right up front and easy to change and is driven by the serpentine belt. Other cars have stuck them in more difficult places and are driven by the timing belt. And they call that progress.
Yea it progress alright...... Bunch of [censored] personally. Mines below ac compressor but is external . It's not to hard. I miss my old silverado what a tank the tbi350 was simple reliable and strong.
