Howdy all:

My Mountaineer has a leak around the windshield that shows itself during any kind of rain and it comes in near the passenger side sun visor.

Do places like Safelite replace windshield seals only or am I stuck with getting a new windshield?

My deductible is a little higher than outright cost for safelite to replace the windshield.

There is typically no deductible for glass.

I guess I need to study my policy some more. Would this increase premiums, I wonder?

We have filed for mouse damage in the Crosstrek, and falling tree damage on my pickup. And now more falling tree damage on Forester. Its all under comprehensive. Which is really no ones fault. (Mine for living in the country with mice and woods??)

No increase in rates.

Sure it's the windshield?

Sunroof? If so, is the drain clear.

I'd hate for you to go after the windshield if the real problem was a faulty sunroof drain.

If no sunroof, then that can't be the issue. If you do have a sun roof, make sure the drain is clear and the hose is attached and not plugged up before moving on to the windshield.

It does have a sunroof and for some reason I was thinking it wasn't the drains but I will test them again.
