Well good old Microsuck discontinued Outlook express in lieu of the horrible windows Live Mail which is garbage.I tried Mozilla T-Bird with no luck getting hotmail folders to show in the pane.Is there another E-mail alternative to Windows live mail that does not suck and I can get my main e-mail & hotmail all in one?

hotmail will now let you access it as pop3 like a regular email account, have you tried that?
Otherwise I switched to GMail and it is far superior to anything else I've used. It checks 4 accounts for me including hotmail.

Windows Live Mail is another quality product from MicroSlop.
I use GMAIL and love it. I can access it on my CrackBerry and it has some really advanced features. I also like that they give you IMAP access for your e-mail clients like Outlook/Thunderbird for folder synchronization.

We use Thunderbird both in Linux and Windows.
Just remember when you setup it to take the check mark out of "Global" when you are setting POP3 accounts.

It's the other way around for me. I've never handed out my gmail address to anything, yet that thing gets more spam than any other email address I have. I get 25-40 spam emails a day. It's not that common of a addy either. My hotmail account is lucky to get 1-4 spam emails a day, and I've had that email address going on 6yrs now. Gmail has been 2. There's a reason why big company's Blacklist gmail accounts, and that was why our company quickly dumped it...
Another + with Thunderbird that you can setup a simple filter so if the email sender is not in your address book, it is deleted and you never see it.
You can set-up this for each email account.
If you don't want it deleted, you can have it go to the Trash folder....... Several options.
