I finally got a hold of a roundtuit and installed it on a VM. It would be lying if I said I wasnt impressed with Metro. Truthfully, I hate it. All it manages to do is get my blood boiling. I feel like Im using something that has been really dumbed down for small children.

I have spent a few more days running Windows 8 on a laptop and find that both boot and shutdown times are much faster as is running applications.

Much faster than XP, Vista, or Windows 7.

Microsoft needs having Internet Explorer versions for non-touch screens.

Have been running Google Chrome without any problems as a web browser.

Like the way Skydrive works.

Will see how it plays out.

I played with it on a tablet at the Microsoft store, and didn't like all the hidden menus. Pull from this side and one menu appears, pull from another and something else happens.

What is it with Microsoft and hiding commands?

I set it up on a tablet, convertable and a desktop w/ 2 24" monitors. All dual boot. I don't like metro on any of them. I will give it some time. Win7 actually works very well on multitouch tablets. I like high resolution displays with small icons, metro is the opposite of this.

As long as metro can be disabled, which I haven't tried, I wil l be OK with it.
