Window tint in Kansas City

Hi,
I moved to kansas city recently. I want to get my car windows tinted, my car at work is parked outside in the sun all day, by the time I get it, its like an oven, and it takes the AC about 15 minutes to get it cool.

Any tint shops in the kansas city area? Thanks

in wichita a tint tech told me that the real dark is allowed only from factory. sorry i dont know the numbers. and most police DO have a test machine, in there car.

Never had a tint job done, but Angie's list for KC lists a couple of shops in Overland Park. I would talk to them. Leavenworth has a shop that has lasted a long time at the same location, A Cut Above.

Find out what legal % is and stay behind it. You don't want to be getting pulled over all the time. It's a pain in the rear, and can get real expensive. Many places will put on illegal tint and leave you to deal with it.

I've been looking at this new 3M Crystalline window tint. It's supposed to block as much heat as a regular darker tint, but still transmits up to 90% of visible light. Keeps your car cooler while still remaining legal.

Looks like you are on the KS side? I've had many done in the area. Many shops have closed. I've had 2 cars done at Mid America (South OP). They did any excellent job. I'd call around your area, and pick the cheapest. They all carry a lifetime warranty.
