Will Amsoil void my Jeep warranty?

Amsoil does say Chrysler MS-6395 in the back of the bottle, but people say that is not a real certification like from Pennzoil and Castrol etc. I am confused.

The answer is no if the Amsoil motor oil in question is the correct viscosity for your engine.

The precise language in your owner's manual is important, so please post that. Picture or exact quote is fine,

My owners manual says Chrysler MS-6395 0W-20. Not all 0W-20s have Chrysler MS-6395

Because Amsoil easily meets the requirements.

But it must have API Starburst they say also

If you want an API oil, Amsoil makes 8 different 0W-20's. 3 are API licensed. You seem to want the best, and did choose the best, but if you are nervous choose Amsoil OE or XL or even the semi-synthetic.

There are millions of threads on this. Amsoil simply does not like or want API control on the formula. Same as other top oil blenders.

Ok, when investigating an engine warranty claim, do the dealers analyze the oil to see if I used an API oil or not?

There is no way a simple UOA could tell if an oil was API licensed or not. And it is missing the point anyway - I mean sure they could analyze an oil and see it’s grossly deficient in additives but I have never heard or seen such a thing.

If a car manufacturer is going to claim an oil caused some engine failure it’s not just a verbal thing. They have to prove it. They don’t even try that. I mean this is an oil forum, been around near 25 years. No cases. Zero.

I have sent samples of new oils, Pennzoil and Amsoil for analysis. Please tell me then why Amsoil is superior. It must be the more Moly

No not just molybdenum. Or any single additive or any single base oil.

Seriously if you are changing the oil frequently the brand won’t make a huge difference. What is the maximum recommended change interval? If you go there Amsoil will hold up better, shear less and should provide better wear protection.

Max interval depends on the oil life monitor in the Jeep. So Ultra Platinum is as good as Amsoil SS if I change it every 3k miles?
