Why would I want synthetic blend?

I agree with those above that if you mix to stay within the same brand. But then a company that makes a PAO synthetic maybe would already be using it in their blend if they make one. Seems there are some additives that are basically synthetic oil (maybe Rislone Winter Start) and what about the Quaker State winter oil? Wonder if that is a 20% PAO.
