Why not more hybrids?

That is CA, and not "this administration."
And policy can be changed the same way it is introduced.
And, if people who advocate that still win elections, maybe people in CA want that? What that has to do with you?
What people in CA want has nothing to do with what the rest of the country wants...

Of course. That was not what I said. That is other member.
So, not sure where is the problem if CA does what it does?
I couldn't care less what CA does, as long as it doesn't affect me...that state is a loony bin as far as I'm concerned...

While your statement is in fact correct, it does not change the fact they pretty much set the standard for the rest of the progressive movement. Which includes all the other progressive loony bins throughout the country.

Add it all up, and the state of California leads the league in persuading the nations progressive crackpot movement.... Of which the list is long and distinguished.

My neighbor has a Prius and I have driven it. Driving a 65 mph gets 50 mpgs easy, that said what would the Prius get with out the battery weight and with an efficient gas engine drive train.

That someone is M56959, an admin. She tends to lock a lot of threads that discuss anything about California in the posts. It just makes me think that she has something against CA. I could be wrong, but her actions speak for themselves. You can look them up and see for yourself.
Reminds me of a guy on another forum, who would go to war with anyone who said anything bad about California. A war! If you made a crack about, say, homelessness in California, he'd post a dozen or so links about homelessness in your state. And then he'd haunt you and re-post the same stuff in all your threads. A real loony bin.

That's fine. No one is arguing against that.

Show me where ONE auto manufacturer supports not being able to sell gas powered vehicles any longer, that is to be determined only by a date set forth by government.
Audi will not develop another new ICE engine. Jaguar guessing embracing it as by 2025 EV only.

CA is a great state, part of the 50 Great States of America. I don't get the bad rap thinking; here's why.
A couple of weeks ago we visited the Lick Observatory on Mt Hamilton for a lecture play on Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity, which Lick was instrumental in. This was in celebration of 100 years of the Theory.

Afterwards, I peered through the eyepiece of the 150 year old telescope at a pair of binary stars. These were 162 light years away. That means the light that hit my eye emmitted from the stars 162 years ago. Heck, the scope wasn't even built yet. Light travels at 186,000 miles per second or 5.88 trillion miles in 1 year. The light traveled over 952 trillion miles just so I could peer at those beautiful blinking stars.

Such an experience reminds me just how small, yet important, the earth is. And why we should work together instead of fighting.

I think these auto makers who claim they will not produce any more ICE vehicles after a certain date will be eating their words...
