Why is there no NASCAR thread?

I never understood how Toyota was added. Stock car racing was based on a RWD, V8, carbureted car, sold to the public. Toyota never had that.
They got in due to domestic manufacture. Silly really. Money grab.

Th\ere is some merit is a push rod V8 screaming\ at 6000 for 600 miles however. No computers. Now it is a sh\am.

Good short track racing at N. Wilkesboro. Built in 1947 and abandoned since 1996, in the last few years it’s been rehabbed/rebuilt and brought back as a NASCAR points race and seems better than ever.
I think smaller "backwoods" type facilities are making a comeback. I relate to the NHRA, they've been going to New England Dragway for several years now, this year they added Maryland International Raceway (borderline backwoods), South Georgia Motorsports and US131. US131 even has a countdown race.

A phrase Wes Buck (Drag Illustrated) says Big Wedding, Small Church makes a great show.

I've been to Zmax for the grandeur, I want my next national event to be one of those places.

probably because NASCAR is like religion to some of the southern folk lol jk. I guess there could be a sports feed for automotive sports and non auto sports.
Very true. I had a manager at a hotel who went to Alabama for a wedding. He went to a NASCAR race. I told him there are four things you don't do in the south. Criticize religion, southern hospitality/cooking, NASCAR, or politics. He made mistake #3. He and his friend drank all morning and he stood up and said "Danny Hamlin is a moron and can't drive". A 300 lb guy three rows down almost got into a fight with him. Rough crowd, abd true story.

NASCAR is impossible to watch because there are 5-6 Tv providers for the races and it just isn’t worth the hassle. Some good racing, especially the road and short tracks. But the 400-500 races are really just waiting for a wreck or the last 2 laps. I don’t have the patience.
I originally paid for HBO Max to watch the races but the amount of commercials disgusts me. I found a website that streams the international broadcast of NASCAR races and there are zero commercials. When the idiot commentators go to commercial break you get to watch the race without them babbling on, which happens ever 5 **** minutes. Needless to say I cancelled my HBO Max sub.

I'd be willing to pay good money to watch races untainted by commercials or commentators, but apparently no amount of money they could charge is enough to make up for the revenue of Pfizer commercials.

I remember some years ago the MLB streaming service 1)had no commercials and 2) had an optional stream without the commentary, just the sounds of the ballgame. Turns out sports organizations hate their fans.
