I need moly paste for my BMW R1250 driveshaft splines. This stuff is priced like platinum and the cheapest I could find for a small tube of the Castrol stuff was $25. I‘m looking for at least 60% molybdenum disulphide. The new Honda M77 only has 40% and the Yamaha stuff has less than 10%. The Loctite 8012 has 65% molybdenum disulphide in it but is pricey.

Motorcraft 4 oz. PTFE spline paste....$45 at the dealership....$14 online......way before Covid price gauging.
Expensive by volume, but smaller outlay for the job.

Part #: Lube477. Spline wear is caused by the sliding back and forth of the splines while under load. Excessive amounts is not to your benefit as it can "fling" off and contaminate your clutch. HOW MUCH SPLINE LUBE SHOULD I USE?.

We used to use some Molykote stuff for a Nissan TSB on Versa? It was crazy expensive.
Picked up a half pound tub of Jet Lube MP-50 moly paste about 10 years ago for maybe $10-$20. Its about 4x that now.

SDS doesn’t even list the moly percentage. Given the listed percentage of the lubricant, we can discern thst it’s nothing like a high solids moly paste which can be half or more moly…I don't know the exact percentage, but this is quality stuff for under $10.00 a tube.
