Why haven't gas prices gone down?

I’ve got 2000 fuel points to burn through so I’ll be filling up for $1.29 in the morning. Not a fan of Kroger gas but won’t pass that up.

That’s a big jump between 87 and 89 octane. Just .20 cents a gallon jump for the other three grades

It’s funny how fast gas prices started skyrocketing in October 2020, the result being the below followed by $2.45/gal in November 2024. Sadly our spread between grades has if anything gotten worse

Very easy to get lower fuel prices. Remove government regulations, barriers to entry, and make any location that hosts a refinery a "federal reservation", so states and local governments can't prevent a refinery from operating.

Do this and you will see unleaded under $2.50 a gallon in California.

$3.46 for premium at Costco in the Salt Lake Valley. That's what the wife's car uses.

It is going down around here if you hit the right areas.
I paid $2,29/gal for RUG at a GetGo yesterday.

Me either. Makes my vehicles sound like popcorn poppers.
That's why I take my Kroger points to Shell.

I wonder if Russia flipping from exporting to importing gasoline and diesel will cause more US exports and prices to go up here?

I saw (on Google news) long lines at Russia gas stations in southern and the illegally annexed Crimea region. late Sept, and early Oct. 2025.
