Nothing but M1 in my Honda and it is approaching 200,000 trouble free miles.

Nothing but Havoline, Valvoline, Pennzoil and whatever iffy lube uses in my Jetta and its approaching 310,000 trouble free miles...

It does not matter what brand of oil you use, JUST change it and save the $$ IMO..

I have just purchased a Honda Civic Si an 06 with 20K in miles. I asked the dealer about changing over to synthetic as I have run Mobil One on all of my Audis with good results. The dealer stated that Honda does not recommend synthetic il for this engine, somehting to do with the v-tec.

Can you fine folks give me the straight skinny on this. I would like to make the change if it has merit.

What is the story??

Please visit honda-acura.net for more information. I have used synthetic in my Honda since the first oil change at 5k miles. It performs great and runs quiet on Pennzoil Platinum 5w20.
