Why do so many folks on BITOG feel the need to control others?

I'm not just talking oil and lube choices. Mr. Cowl Urine is a low example. That girl really bothered him. But now we have the pay police. I don't understand it. Is it too much time on your hands? Is it the way you were raised?

I'm really curious. I think it's an internet control thing.

If we were all free to do as we please most of us would be dead and the world would be in chaos.

Is it just BITOG, or the medium of expression that brings out that side of some people? I think you would find this type of behavior from some people on most forums. It is well known that people will say things on internet forums that they would not normally say if it were face-to-face, for example. The cause of this is arguable, but the safety of a forum may contribute to this behavior, or may bring out traits that are normally latent.

This is not a BITOG trait, it's a human trait. The Internet is just perfect for yelling and cursing someone behind a veil of digital anonymity.

BTW; I must be humble. I love being wrong here and having the guy with over 10,000 posts such as Pablo put me in the right direction. It's called learning. I get more out of message boards by learning from anothers experience than I do trying to prove someone wrong.
I too thought the pee pee thing was a little over the top. Kind of like an attempt to play it cool and you end up playing it cold.

This place is tame compared to a lot of chat boards. You guys must lead a sheltered ("board") life.

I'm a little confused what you're asking. Are you asking why yaris0128 treated that girl the way he did? Or are you asking why other BITOGers treated yaris0128 they way they did?
