Why aren't we geek'n out on Microgreen Oil Fiters?

Has anyone else tried this filter? Seems like a good idea. I can't find anything about flow rate. Some posters have expressed good uoa reports here and on other forums. I found this 20% off online coupon code for anyone interested...

That would drop the filter price down to roughly $12. Not bad if it does what it's advertised to do...

YOu can't tell much about an oil filter from a used oil analysis unless it includes a particle count and then you can only tell if you did better if you did at least one (preferably more) used oil analysis with the original setup for comparison.

These are parallel flow bypass filters built onto one housing. It's nothing new and there are a number of other manufacturers of these (see my earlier post in this thread). My personal philosophy is, "There's no such thing as oil too clean" but the cost/benefit analysis of these is on the negative side unless you intend to run extended oil drains. A sale or coupon would even that out a little. The difference in wear with a filter like this is inconsequential vs a filter that costs less than half as much. The only way to make it pay is with extended oil drains.
