Not anymore...It consumed in my hopped up 07 civic Si. I use SSO or Schaeffer's now.

Aggressive driving style.

I will find somewhere... It's all good even if it is expensive, just want to do a couple runs to see how it is. (Hobby)

Unfortunately, all of the premium synthetic oils have jumped up several dollars per quart in the last couple of years, but then so has everything else in the economy.

When you want to search for the lowest prices, go to http://www.google.com and search by oil name and viscosity in quotes. After you get search results, click on the "shopping" tab at the top. Sort the results by "price low to high." The cheapest prices will at the top. The top item isn't always the cheapest, so always add shipping costs to get the final cost. Also, be aware you can sort by "seller rating" (5 star scale).

I've had good results with "my oil shop" (which then goes into http://www.racerpartswholesale.com ), but there are probably up to 10 other sources within a tight window of 50 cents per quart.

Thanks!

I not have UOAs to back it up (they are 1/2 the cost of my change, I'd rather put the coin into more frequent changes

), but I am VERY happy with it on ~10K mile/1 year OCIs (with a filter change and 2 quart top up at 1/2 year).

My 'seat o' the pants'- meter says the engine; runs smoother, revs more freely, starts and smooths out quicker in frigid temps, and possibly gets slightly better gas mileage, with the RL than with anything else I've ever had in the sump.

I'm running 0W-20 in both cars. The Hyundai has had two previous 0w-20 (Mobil) and 5w-20 (Penn Plat) oil checks (both stellar), so I'm gonna run 3 5k mile runs and then check and see how the RL 0w-20 does. Scion will also get 3 5k miles runs.

I just ordered 7 qts of Redline 5w30 for $10.49ea with free shipping.About the same cost as Amsoil with my preferred Amsoil customer status after shipping and tax.
Hoping the ester formula will quiet down a bit the cold engine 3.5L piston slap on our RX.
I've read Redline did quiet down some tick problems so I figured I'd give Redline a try.

Where did you get it? My brother is tossing the idea around of trying it in his boat.

Thanks!

Not a bad deal at all. I have an Auto Barn store about 2 miles from the house. I'll let my brother know they sell it. I'm pretty sure they allow in store pick up and honor their online pricing.

Thanks again!

Not a big deal but you and your brother may have to pay tax if you buy at the store or online because you live in NY.May even be $9.99 at the store.

Amazon.com collects tax too, we can't avoid that. Auto Barn doesn't have it on the shelves in the store, I've looked. They can order it in, we have to talk to the manager. That's if he decides to run it.

You sure?I never pay sales tax when ordering from Amazon and I order a lot from Amazon. Then again,I never ordered anything from a company in my state that I can remember.
I just did a dummy Redline case order on Amazon.Free shipping and no sales tax.
