My local kragen has these. I grabbed a ph8a equivelent to look at. The baseplate resembles a Wix but the 6 holes are much larger. The baseplate did not have the 51515 that Wix filters that have a 3/4 x 16 thread do. The baseplate is very thick steel.
The bypass valve is in the other end and it is metal. The can looks like a Champion filter.
