Even though I don't buy it, I like the clear bottle that I believe Quaker State may be using. All the major brand bottles look good; Redline bottles look the worst, imo.

Funny you should bring that up. I was just thinking the same thing, only concerning marketing. I used to work at the wal mart TLE and before quaker state came out with their new design, it didn't sell that great. However, after it got that new "Q" on there, we couldn't keep it in stock. I don't think the 10.50 has a lot to do with it as much as the new label as it was the same price before and after.

You gotta love marketing.

I like the Pennzoil Platinum 4.73L jugs with the sideways handle.. Those are cool.

I also like Valvoline conventional and MaxLife red bottles.. I've used Valvoline for years in the past and just always had a soft spot for Valvoline..

Clear is a good thing, so Q-state is tops on that. Except that the clear Q-state bottles are hard to hold. I don't like the squishy texture of the Penzoil platinum bottles.

Something about those Mobil 1 bottles...........they look all high tech, like that oil would make your car go veryyyyyyyy FAST!!!!!!!!!! :^)

I like the basic Formula Shell bottles. The white bottle, with orange and blue graphics has a very retro 1970's/1980's feel to it...

M1 bottles, the silver exudes "class"

Superflo, I'm crazy, but I like the now-underutilized Exxon tiger mascot and bright red. The grippy widemouth lid is nice too.

The clear QS bottles are always slightly icky feeling on the shelf. Would you buy meat in a plastic tray that felt icky? Oil? Gross!

Walmart had some store brand syn in a clear bottle, which formerly is/was a QS trademark. Could have licensed the trademark without the oil being made by SOPUS, or...?

Mobil 1 bottles are better now than they used to be. Their 5qt jugs are the best.

Mobil 1's logo is the best.

Best qt size bottles would be Amsoil & Redline.
