Who is Going to Pick Up a Newly Released HK CC9?

My H&K USP compact is a fine gun. Incredibly reliable. Accurate. A great shooter.

How reliable?

80 guys. Shooting in the desert. Lots of dust. 1200 rounds each over the course of a week.

No cleaning. No lubrication.

96,000 total rounds.

Zero failures.
9, 40, or 45? Back when I was shooting my USP C 45 before even range ammo went full retard on pricing, I could reliably put a full HK 45 C mag (10 rounds, but it fits!) under a silver dollar at 25’. Sure, it ain’t impressive compared to Jerry Miculek, but it was satisfying.

I completely agree with all your points on the merits of the USP C line, especially the accuracy & reliability. I’ve owned it for 20 years now (my very first gun purchase ever) and I’ve still never had a failure of any sort. It’s been a long time, but I’d imagine that’s at least 8k rounds.

Again, definitely no records, but perfect reliability with thousands of rounds down range is pretty darn priceless IMO.

We were at the FLETC in Artesia, NM. This was c. 2004.

We were shooting government contract ammo in .40 S&W. It was all Speer Gold Dot 165g.

Not cheap but Uncle Sam got it for a good price long before all the ammo silliness happened.

So, excellent ammo in a great gun. I liked the gun so much that I bought one.

Still have it. Still has Speer Gold Dot in the mags.

Price is no good. Cheapest I found was $899+++.

HK makes excellent guns, but just cant see it for the price. Might change my mind it I get to how one. VP9 fits like it was made for my hand.....wonder if this is the same or close.

I wouldn't be interested either, at that price.

All the stores in my area are listing the CC9 for between $599 - $610. This puts it about what a Sig P365 runs, I believe.

Price will come down as soon as the initial excitement dies down. My FN Reflex MRD lists for 659. Got it for 549. Just be patient.
