YouTube and gun news is filled with information about H&K finally releasing their long waited micro 9, which will be the CC9.

I've been anxiously waiting for the HK micro 9, and have been suppressing myself from picking up a P365 to fill the gap while waiting. Now that the CC9 is about to hit the stores, I'm in a little of a dilemma because it has a traditional magazine release, and I was looking forward to a paddle style magazine release.

Has anyone else been waiting for the HK micro 9, and will be picking up a CC9?

My H&K USP compact is a fine gun. Incredibly reliable. Accurate. A great shooter.

How reliable?

80 guys. Shooting in the desert. Lots of dust. 1200 rounds each over the course of a week.

No cleaning. No lubrication.

96,000 total rounds.

Zero failures.
(y)This is what will sell the CC9.
If its half this good, its better than every other Micro 9 on the market.
Time will tell.

I'll definitely be looking into it. I really like my VP9.

I also have a VP9, and use a VP9SK as a daily carry. They both have performed very well for me.

But I am attracted towards a micro 9, so I'm anxious to get a CC9 in my hands and shoot it.

Extreme reliability is one of the things that really attracts me to H&K firearms. In one of the short videos that H&K has produced to promote the CC9, they report that they shot in excess of 770,000 rounds in testing the CC9.

I carried that pistol (USP Compact) on duty in Maine for a few years. . . . I saw the same results.

It doesn't look that micro.

Of course my idea of a good 9mm is a Colt Defender...

My idea of micro is a Mustang, or a Jet Fire or an Naa...

So that would be a no, probably not on my list.

I will check it out. I have been considering replacing my CC with something else.

Depending on situation, I conceal carry a full size USP 45 or the Glock 26. Looks like this CC9 is slim. I would not consider it a micro

Looks like a Hellcat, which I have been very happy with the last few years. Not seeing anything ground breaking on this.
Not in terms of size or functionality, but H&K makes an extraordinarily reliable gun.

Same size, same purpose, but a difference in quality.

I was considering a Glock 43x to replace my 365XL for CC but I would be seriously interested in one and depending on how it shot, maybe completely replacing my current 365XL. I'm hoping the VP9 I rented at the range was a one-off case because that felt like it was shooting hotdogs down a hallway.

What don’t you like about the P365XL?

I genuinely like mine.

I really like mine too but the stock sights are starting to bother me. I thought they were great when I first tried them but I'm a better shot with the Glock and I like their stock sights more. I just hate the shape of the glock slides. If I do end up with a different carry pistol, then I'll most likely modify my current 365XL to some sort of a range queen (but I really like the P320 for the range.)

Price is no good. Cheapest I found was $899+++.

HK makes excellent guns, but just cant see it for the price. Might change my mind it I get to how one. VP9 fits like it was made for my hand.....wonder if this is the same or close.

Looks nice and would consider. I really like my HK P7M8
I wouldn’t trade mine. I had a second one and my sister-in-law talked me into selling it to her. It is unbelievably easy to shoot well and in my experience easy to learn. Also dead reliable and well built. It does get hot.

Looks great and the durability testing is amazing. That said, I carry appendix and the likelihood I would ever encounter such conditions is as close to zero as possible. My FN Reflex has over 1k rounds through it with nary a problem. Extremely accurate with soft recoil even with toasty SD rounds. Can’t see changing.

If I were LE or military and this was my BUG, that would be a different story.
