Any success battling whiteflies, I have them in a wall ivy. I've always have had them but last year I refinished the cedar siding on the house and I think the sanding dust got rid of the predators, so I want to attract the hunters back but at the same time they are doing a number on the vines.

To get rid of the white flies, you first need to get rid of the Ivy.
I like the Ivy- it is on the southern stucco facing side and will eventually cover the wall and provide some cooling in summer- cedar is on the front of the house, ivy free.
You do realize climbing ivy is destructive to the wall?

Virginia Creeper- shouldn't be too bad.
My mother used to make "fly boards" for her vegetable garden.
She'd cover a small piece of 1/4" plywood (24"x12") with yellow shelf liner. Then coat the liner with cooking oil or Crisco and place the board where the flies would congregate.
