In my Ford pickup there is a large message on dash display. "Oil change required". Unless I want to see that message all the time I reset the OLM after an oil change. Are we talking about that message and the counter that causes it to be displayed?Would you ever buy a used car with a "Change Oil" message and the oil life at 0%? If the owner said, "Oh, I change the oil regularly, I just never reset the counter," would that make it alright to buy?
If you're not willing to take that gamble, why should Ford (or any other automaker)?
