wanna use 10w-30 with highest level of moly for a scooter & various outdoor power equipment...which one has highest amount of moly? thanks...

I don't know which is highest, but I do know that Valvoline EP FS has high moly and it's a type of moly that's very good. NAPA FS same. In fact, I think NAPA FS is Valvoline EP FS in a NAPA bottle.

There are probably other high moly oils, but those are the 2 that I know of.

Unfortunately, the last posted tests on PQIA are from March 2023. Formulations have changed since. Of the majors, I would assume Valvoline has the most moly. This assumption is made because their other oils, not 10W30, have significant amounts based on recent VOA which can be found on this site.

I ran Redline 20w50 MC oil and the UOA showed a very high moly content (290 ppm in UOA against a 500 ppm spec at the time) however they have lowered it considerably in the past few years to 150 ppm in their MC oil literature in all those oils. However, their passenger car oils have continue to have high moly as was shared above.

Higher moly content has become a popular thing that folks are looking for in their oil choice. What is the main advantage (if any, is it six of one/half dozen of the other?) folks are getting of moly over boron in a motor oil, as boron seems to be at least as good or better with respect to friction/wear reduction.

Why does it have to be API SP?
1) air cooled small engines without oil filters get more frequent premature oil changes to get the crap out...

2) what is the current standard for 10w-30 pcmo? (which is the most readily available category of 10w-30 oil)...api sp

Sure but why is it relevant and required in this application? It’s not. I’d go with some of the recommendations in this thread and disregard the API license.

You are approaching this the wrong way.

This is like shopping for ice cream based on the amount of carrageenan in it because you heard it makes ice cream creamier.

Pick an oil on its performance, not its content.

The current standard is now SQ although it has been slow to appear on shelves so far

well...found a gallon of Citgo Citgard 700 synblend 10w-30 hdeo that I forgot about (leftover from the Honda Navi that I owned in 2023); my new Navi owner's manual recommended the Pro Honda oil with moly (indicated by the 'M' designation)...I wanted to find a more affordable pcmo since the Honda stuff is $13+ per quart!

I will run the Citgo hdeo until it is gone...bye! I'm out...

ps...all the garbally goop about not using energy conserving oils takes pcmo's outta consideration; that's why I opted for hdeo a few years ago...forgot about that too!

You might look into 4T motorcycle oils such as Castrol Synthetic Power 1 Racing 4T or VALVOLINE SYNPOWER 4T. These are specifically formulated for motorcycle applications.
scoot use cvt transmission with synthetic belts & centrifugal roller engagement mechanism...I do not need the jaso rating for wet clutch; at @ 10hp my engine is closer related to a lawnmower powerplant...🥴
