Which oils are exceptional to you?

I think the FS version at only $3 more for a six pack is even a better deal if one can use it.

Kendall GT1 Semi-Syn is one of the best "semi-Syn" oils on the market. The Additive pack (the ingredients added to the oil to lessen wear and enhance lubrication properties) is one of the stoutest of any major brand store bought oil. I would recommend highly this oil. Just by going off what I've read from their VOA's; Pennzoil Ultra Platinum , Amsoil Signature Series, Mobil 1 is competitive, TGMO fuel synthetic, Eneos looks good.

I'd say Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and Amsoil Signature series are exceptional. I wouldn't buy either because I'm not spending that much and I don't feel comfortable with 10,000 plus mile oil change intervals.

Synpower is available other places than Amazon...unless it's regionally blocked? 5 quarts of Synpower MST 5w40 or HST 0w40 for $25 at my local Meijer.

Sounds like I need to load up my car with all the Synpower 5w40 it can hold and head west, to sell oil to Merkava

Fortunately I'm not picky about my oil at all. As long as it's a reasonable viscosity, and it's not some dollar-store brand, I'll use it no problem. But I use premium oil in my Camry because I buy it on clearance, or get it for free.

Don't know really.

Something with Castrol's "UMA", or the later generation that goes into edge for sure...I'm using 5W30 A3/B3 as that gives the best all round HTHS without uber high KV100s and the like, which I FEEL is better.

I don't care, I'll buy on price and availability - read the label and make my choice. Given a rack of oils with the same spec and price, I'd um and ah between Castrol and Penrite.

Same here Silk, Castrol & Penrite are my first pick, given price or spec doesn't come into it.

But I must admit, my current fascination is Delo monograde SAE 30, or Kendall GT-1 full synthetic 10w30, or the new (for Oz) Castrol Edge 10w30. The Penrite 10-Tenths Racing 5w30 with a HTHS of 3.3 is pretty interesting too.

The Walmart around the corner from me stocks Synpower 5W40,BUT,only in quarts,no 5 quart jugs. I was thinking it's $6 something a quart.
