Mobil 1 ESP 0w30I’m under 1,000 miles on my 4th and final Valvoline R&P oci on my 2018 Subaru Outback oil burner(130k). Full details and results coming soon!!
My next uncontrolled experiment will be to run an OTC oil long term to see if my rings stay clean. I’m willing to be a guinea pig here.
My question for you is out of these two oils easily available at Wally which would you like me to use for the foreseeable future?

Varnish is not sludge, so I don't see a backing why either would offer help with that![]()
What's been your consumption experience with VRP?
Why are people voting for other oils when there are only two options here?![]()
Triax 0W16 or JTP 10W40. Full stop. Why are people voting for other oils when there are only two options here?![]()

I would try both, then pick the one you "feel" worked best overall including data input for fuel mileage and usage.... ... .
