And? What does it have to do with the oil’s winter rating? If anything I’d take a 5W-40 oil with European approvals over some generic 10W-40 without.

I agree. OP is in Europe. I’m assuming that the 10w40 would also carry the European approvals.

I live in Europe, temperature mild winters and summer average 35°C

Run whatever weight you want, your owners manual says if the vehicle was in Dubai, you can run 15/40.
