Right now there is a sale on AC, Motorcraft and
Purolator Premium Plus(not Pureone) at RS Strauss in NYC area. All are 2.99 each. Which would you use given the choice AC 1127 , Purolator 4459 or Motorcraft FL 810.(why). I want to stock up on a few now that I have found this site and sworn off the Orange crap. Thanks.

The topic should have been "Which of these oil filters would you use in a 2001 Accord." I

I think either the AC or Motorcraft are better than the plain Purolator. I'd buy whichever one has more holes in the baseplate and center tube.

JohnnyO, That would be the Motorcraft filter and I think that is going to be my choice. I read in an earlier post that the Motorcraft uses the Pureone media. thanks.

I'd go with the Purolator 24458, I know it's not in your list, but it's a fantastic filter and typically the same price as the others.

n8wvi: I bought a couple of the 24458's because they look exactly like the 4459 except that they are about an inch and a half longer. Are you sure there is no problem using them. Are there any differences in ADBV, bypass valve settings etc.
I think that my brothers 1986 Accord used the 24458 (or whatever its equivalent was).
